Coca-Cola offered water and energy drinks for the Dublin rock half marathon last weekend, and the company criticized organizers for failing to remove plastic bottles discarded in the course in a timely manner.
The beverage company said it would "work more closely" with running activity partners in the future to ensure that this massive garbage is no longer happening.
The organizers of the competition were widely criticized on social media by local residents of the liffi Valley, saying that on Monday morning, 24 hours later, there was still a lot of garbage in the rural alleys of chapalid.
About 5,688 people took part in the main competition, another 1,752 took the route of 5 km kilometers and 1,715 ran 10 km kilometers.
